Unfortunately, our books are full and we can only accept the very occasional new referral. Please speak with your GP who might know of other options. For urgent issues, please contact Ballarat Health Services Mental Health on 1300 661 323 or Lifeline on 131 114.
We continue to ask that you not attend the practice in-person if you have tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 14 days or if you are ill, even with a cold. Telehealth appointments can be arranged as a safe alternative
Please let your clinician know if anyone in your household has tested positive to COVID-19. It will be up to each clinician whether they still offer to see you in-person or whether a telehealth-only option is offered. If you have no COVID-19 symptoms, a negative RAT test on the morning of your appointment and an in-person session is offered by your clinician, please wear a facemask at all times in the building. We ask that this remains the case for 14 days after a positive result in your household .
Founded in 1983, Ballarat Psychological Service is an established and respected psychology practice, the first to operate outside of Melbourne. We are centrally located in the heart of the medical precinct and have provided high-quality psychology and therapy services to the Ballarat community for over 35 years.
We are a group of Clinical Psychologists and experienced Mental Health Clinicians, all with postgraduate training in specialist therapeutic approaches and all dedicated to and passionate about our work. As a practice, we have a wide range of expertise - in insight-oriented psychotherapy (with adults and children), trauma-based therapies including EMDR, schema therapy, family therapy, infant-parent therapy, CBT, ACT and mindfulness-informed practice.
We work with people of all ages, from infancy through to advanced age, including parents, carers and families.
