VALE JAN SCHLUNKE
1952-2022
We are saddened to acknowledge the sudden passing of Jan, one of the founders of BPS. Jan’s gentleness, thoughtfulness, strength of character and determination have had a profound impact on her many clients, supervisees and colleagues over the past 40 years. We wish to acknowledge the significant contribution Jan has made to mental health in the Ballarat community and, in particular, to our practice at 705 Mair Street.
Sadly missed and much respected.
Founded in 1983, Ballarat Psychological Service is an established and respected psychology practice, the first to operate outside of Melbourne. We are centrally located in the heart of the medical precinct and have provided high-quality psychology and therapy services to the Ballarat community for over 35 years.
We are a group of Clinical Psychologists and experienced Mental Health Clinicians, all with postgraduate training in specialist therapeutic approaches and all dedicated to and passionate about our work. As a practice, we have a wide range of expertise - in insight-oriented psychotherapy (with adults and children), trauma-based therapies including EMDR, schema therapy, family therapy, infant-parent therapy, CBT, ACT and mindfulness-informed practice.
We work with people of all ages, from infancy through to advanced age, including parents, carers and families.
If you are a current client, please refer to our Covid-19 page for our Covid-19 Policy and requirements. Note that masks are required in all common areas at the Practice.
